Ask a Librarian will be launching a E-Gov Specialized Entry Point in March.  The new entry point will be linked to from http://www.gethelpflorida.org, a Florida Resource Based E-Gov Portal.

Questions from this portal page will route into the main collaborative desk.  Questions that can’t be answered via live chat can be forwarded to an email queue for e-gov-specializing librarians to assist the user.

To help you get familiarized with http://gethelpflorida.org/ and e-government resources in general, Nancy Fredericks, E-Government Services Manager for Pasco County Public Library Cooperative, and Ask a Librarian will have an “E-Gov and Ask a Librarian” webinar on Thurs., Feb. 24 at 1:30 pm ET.

To register or for more information, please visit:  http://www.tblc.org/ws_info.php?ws=1318

In addition to the training, we are looking for a few good volunteers who have experience with e-gov.  These volunteers will work with Nancy Fredericks to answer questions either submitted by users via email or to follow-up on live chat sessions.  Please email Traci at avett@tblc.org if interested.
