As in previous years, the Academic Desk will remain closed throughout the month of December to accommodate library closings and availability. Beginning on Monday, December 3, all staff normally scheduled to cover Academic should check the Collaborative Desk box (rather than Academic) when logging in for their scheduled shifts. Following the statewide closing dates below, both Collaborative and Academic Desks will reopen on Monday, January 7.
Here is the statewide Ask a Librarian schedule for December and January:
· Thursday, December 20 (closing at 5 pm)
· Friday, December 21 thru Sunday, January 6 (closed)
· Both Academic and Collaborative Desks reopen on Monday, January 7
· Sunday, January 20 and Monday, January 21 (closed)
Note: These closings are for the statewide service, so your library is still free to staff local desk hours on statewide closing days.
