This month, we recognize a library system that has played an outstanding part in implementing Ask a Librarian. October’s AaL SuperStar recipient is Pasco County Library System.
Pasco County Library System is dedicated to the collaborative Ask a Librarian desk and is committed to staffing it. Every time a new librarian is added to the library staff, that person is trained in Ask a Librarian and the library adds an additional hour of collaborative desk coverage – covered by that person. Over time, using this model, Pasco’s collaborative desk coverage has grown from 5 shifts to 12 shifts a week.
