Andrew Beman-Cavallaro is a faculty research and instruction librarian for the social sciences at the University of South Florida. Andrew earned his bachelor’s degree in human geography from Florida State University, his first master’s degree in library and information science from University of South Florida, and his second master’s degree from University of Nebraska in United States history. Andrew was a public librarian before becoming a college library director for a decade. He teaches periodically in USF’s library and information science graduate program and is an affiliate faculty member at USF’s School of Information. Andrew’s research and publications include efforts regarding community college librarianship and AI/information literacy. Andrew’s further work includes research for the U.S. Department of Defense. Andrew regularly acts as a mentor in Florida’s library leadership institute and serves on committees in ALA and ACRL.

Judy has been a librarian with the University of Central Florida since 2017, and she is currently serving as the Public Services Librarian at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. From 2017 to 2019 she was the UCF Connect Librarian at the joint-use Valencia College Osceola campus. Before moving to Florida in 2015, Judy was the technical services librarian at SUNY Ulster in upstate New York. Chat reference has been an enjoyable part of each of her positions, and she learns something new every day.

Angie Price is the Biological & Life Sciences Librarian at the Marston Science Library for the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She received her MLS from the University of North Texas and her master’s degree in biology from Miami University. Before transitioning to the academic world, Angie worked for the Memphis Public Library system in Memphis, TN for nearly 7 years, ranging in roles from children’s services to adult services librarian, as well as cataloging manager for the system. Prior to working in libraries, Angie worked for zoos and aquaria where she focused on nocturnal and cryptic animal species, becoming involved as well in biological fieldwork in Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Costa Rica, and multiple U.S. states. Angie currently serves as Secretary for the ACRL Sustainability Round Table (2024-2026 term), as well as working on the UF Libraries Green Team/Sustainability Committee.

Kellie has been working with the University of West Florida since 2013. She currently serves as the Head of the Reference Department and Social Media, Marketing, and Communications Coordinator for UWF Libraries.
Her research interests include libraries and marketing, social media, creativity, and mindfulness and the university student experience. She also serves as the libraries’ Evening Reference librarian and enjoys serving students both online and onsite during weekend and evening hours.

Andy Todd has been a librarian with the University of Central Florida for over 15 years. After graduating from USF in 2003, he started out as an adjunct librarian at the Joint-Use Library in Clermont and then transitioned into a permanent position at the EFSC/UCF Joint-Use library in Cocoa. Andy enjoys working at a regional campus library as this setting provides him the opportunity to share reference responsibilities (including chat hours) with the Eastern Florida State College librarians. He also serves as the Subject Librarian for the UCF College of Nursing. Andy won an Exemplary Chat Award in 2006 and has participated in the AAL QA Workgroup for over 10 years.
