Holiday Closings 2014
As in previous years, the Academic Desk will remain closed throughout the month of December to accommodate library closings and availability. Beginning on Monday, December 1, all staff normally scheduled to cover Academic should check the Collaborative Desk box (rather than Academic) when logging in for their scheduled shifts. Following the statewide closing dates below, both Collaborative and Academic Desks will reopen on Monday, January 5th.
Here are the statewide holiday hours for Ask a Librarian in November – January:
Tuesday, November 11 – closed
Wednesday, November 26 – open 10 am to 5p ET
Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 – closed
Tuesday, December 23 – open 10 am to 5 pm ET
Wednesday, December 24 thru Sunday, January 4 – Statewide Chat/Texting Closed (statewide email will continue to be answered on non-federal holidays)
Monday, January 5 – reopen at 10 am ET with full hours
Note: These closings are for the statewide service, so your library is still free to staff local desk hours on statewide closing days.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Happy Holidays!
